Scales and Tails has been grabbing the attention of students for more than 20 years. In both the week-long residencies and the workshops, students are encouraged to "think outside the box." As you well know, studies have shown that learning is accelerated when education includes both the intellect and the senses and is inquiry-based. Scales & Tails programs are grounded in these principles. They provide hands-on wildlife experiences combined with current facts, in a cooperative learning environment that encourages creative, deductive thinking.
